Driving from Kallikratis to Asi Gonia in Crete, Greece. Kallikratis is a village off the beaten path and lies at 540 meters. From Kallikratis, we descend to Asi Gonia via a seemingly deserted road full of hairpins and grand views of the surrounding mountains. The road is in rough condition but this only makes the drive more exciting! Recorded in late August 2023. This route: www.google.com/maps...

Driving the Daha Ata Wanguwa, also known as the "18 Bend Road" in Sri Lanka. This road connects the cities of Kandy and Mahiyanganaya. In this video, I drive from Mahiyanganaya to Kandy. Historically, this road used to have 18 hairpin turns, but after construction one hairpin turn was removed, leaving only 17 bends. You see the bends numbered on signs in the video: 00:00 Start 3:09 Bend 17 3:36...

Driving from Kapsodasos to Kallikratis in Crete, Greece. The video doesn't do justice to how steep this road is. While driving up from Kapsodasos, there's nothing next to the road to save you when you make an error, which made this a very thrilling drive! Recorded in August 2023. Riding Sella Carnizza, Italy

The Sella Carnizza is a pass in the far east of Italy, close to the Slovenian border. The area gave a deserted feeling, with the road in poor condition and broken trees everywhere from a landslide. However the area is full of great nature, mountains, and roads, so well worth the visit! The Strubklamm Strasse in Austria is a short but fun ride along the Almbach river. Located just 20 minutes driving east of Salzburg, it's a nice ride from there. The Strubklamm Strasse is claimed "one of the narrowest roads of Austria" so you definitely need to watch where you're going! Riding the D22 / Col de la Madone, France

The D22 is a stunning drive close to Nice (France) and Monaco. At the highest point you'll drive past the Col de la Madone. And when taking the way down direction Menton, you get to see breathtaking views of the French Riviera (the coastline). I stayed around Nice for a few days and still cannot believe such roads are located so close to big cities, I'm jealous! This route: www.google.com/maps/...

Whatever the battery uses to get up the mountain will be completely recharged by the time they reach the bottom thanks to regenerative braking.
what's amazing place, i really want go there if i could, greeting from INDONESIA
How can the road be this vacant??
Too many speed limit signs. Should be 100km/t all the way almost..
What a shame going up there by car ! I went up the Tremola all the way up from Biasca by bicycle. Nice and perfectly quiet. Only thing You get to hear is Your own breath ! Sorry to say.....

Hello! Thanks for great videos from amazing places. Have a question about how you film. Do you use a GoPro and how do you avoid getting wind noise when you have the camera outside. Is it on the roof or hood of the car that you place the camera?
I use a GoPro and an external mic, and merge the two in post. The GoPro is on the roof. I still haven't found a perfect position for the mic yet, but in this video it was on the outside of the trunk.
@@RoadtripThroughTheLens Thank you for your answer. Not so easy with wind noise, which is a problem with GoPro. Haven't gotten this to work in a good way myself. Again, thanks for your reply
Perhaps slower!
Eine sehr schöne Fahrt!
It was interesting to see how much better the road was engineered on the Italian side of the pass, with more and better armco and far less potholes and disintegrating road surface! And I thought😢 the Swiss were so particular!
Good day. Many thanks. Saw for the first time. Enjoyed of course. Bravo! Didn't forget to press the like button. Lots of love and greetings from your subscriber. Country Azerbaijan. Baku city
Beautiful scenery but not a chance I would go on that road.

Live long, Ride on
Very nice this video👍♥️
I was intrigued by the Tenerife flag, having once lived in Scotland. From Wikipedia: "The flag closely resembles the flag of Scotland, the difference being a darker shade of blue. There are two popular traditions on the island of Tenerife trying to explain the resemblance. One is that the flag was adopted as a mark of respect to the bravery of the Scottish sailors in the Battle of Santa Cruz. An alternative theory is the most influential masters of the island of Tenerife chose a design similar to the Scottish flag belonging to the Masonic Grand Lodge of Scotland and proposed a similar flag for the maritime province of the Canary Islands, which later became the flag of Tenerife."

Great video but sounds like your car had a blown exhaust.
Well done man, have a safe trip
Another great video as usual 🙂
What a spectacular sight that is!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the upload.
You must correct the accentuation (forced sharpness), this has all the disadvantages: it forces the contour lines and distorts the rendering of the vegetation. The processing is too crude, it is only adapted to a resolution of 360p, as a result the image resolution is reduced (we have an adjacent pixel size setting which is not good, perhaps 15 pixels at least). instead of 3) moreover, this forces the bitrate: your videos are more difficult to play because they can be twice as heavy on UA-cam (more than 60Mb/s in 2160p instead of 30 in general), and this does not improve not the image quality because it is the artifacts which consume this bit rate. With Gopro 8 and above, you should never shoot with the default setting and especially not with medium or high sharpness, it is already too accentuated unless you use the maximum definition for medium sharpness, the internal software is only optimized for maximum definition, it is coarse if using 4K only (Gopr8 and following), therefore, only use low sharpness. The Gopro 6 and 7 were the last to work well in medium sharpness in 1080p, 2.7K and 4K... Even worse would be to add forced sharpness behind a Gopro which is not in sharpness disabled (low), especially with a 9, 10, 11.... I would like to enjoy your landscapes with a good image... it doesn't seem to be a gopro, the stabilization is not defective (the new gopros don't pass the turns), if it's another camera, such as dji or insta, the bad sharpness setting was added afterwards, it's is a mistake, it ruins the image. THANKS.
Nice Video
Perfect country to be a painter
@imagereader_9 The Klausen Pass is a twisting, narrow ass ledge hanger shot through with blind curves where either cars or crotch rockets can burst into view suddenly. Guard rails? What guard rails? Only a single, horizontal railing consisting of small bore piping and small bore pipe stanchions separates you from the abyss. Absolutely NO room for error. No wonder that cars towing 'caravans' (camping trailers) are forbidden to drive on it. As far as its scenic value I couldn't give you an evaluation as I spent all of my attention span on the road in front of me out of a desire to keep my tires on it. The scenery is better and there is far less danger on the Susten, and the Stelvio, for all its bobsled style switchbacks, is an Autobahn in comparison.
great trip thank you...d you have an electric vehicle?
I love the trip, but how fast are you driving? Wow! At times, I felt like I was on a flat track rollercoaster, or a racetrack!
Great video, we are looking forward to a lot of mountain crossings this summer. Planning a trip from the east in the Alps to the south-west part of France. Thanks for the great videos.

Good day. Many thanks. Saw for the first time and say bravo! Very scrnic and dangerous pass. Enjoyed of course. Like and gratitude from country Azerbaaijan💗💗💗❤❤❤🧡💝💝💛💛💛👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Hello, are the Nans gorges possible by car, because we have the impression that two cars cannot pass each other, because the road does not seem very wide... It seems possible by motorbike , but in a car, it doesn't seem easy to do...🥴😵😵💫
Good day. Thank you so much for the pass. Enjoyed and liked of course . Bravo! Lots of love and greetings from country Azerbaijan❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
My stepson and I drove that road in 2015 on a day that they were having the Großglockner Grand Prix. It was misting lightly at the bottom and as we were going up there was some light snow. We then broke though the clouds into a glorious day to the glacier. It was great to have the opportunity to drive it but also to see the classic cars doing time trials. We were able to go down the back side on the way down.
Your car sounds like a plane😮
Great ride through beautiful landscapes, high speed, the vehicle handles sharp curves very safely, in one word the best virtual ride I've had. I admire the driver's handling skills and reactions at high speed. With much respect and best wishes from Žika from Belgrade, Serbia.
